Dr Khalifa Elmusharaf  (Board Member)

Dr. Khalifa Elmusharaf is a Senior Lecturer in Public Health at the Graduate Entry Medical School at University of Limerick. He has twenty years of experience as clinician, researcher, project manager, lecturer and health system specialist in academia, ministries of health, and international organizations. He is a consultant in global maternal health with experience in health system research. 

Dr Elmusharaf is a Technical Advisor to the World Health Organization (WHO) on The Mother and Newborn Information for Tracking Outcomes and Results (MONITOR) Technical Advisory Group and an associate editor at BMC Public Health Journal in UK. He is currently involved in a number of national and international collaborative research projects including Maternal health in resource-limited settings; Economic and Social Costs of Violence against Women and Girls in South Sudan, Ghana and Pakistan; Emergency Care at Primary Health Care level (CHPS) in Ghana; and Social Exclusion in Ireland.
